About
For years, the pro-hunting lobby has argued that if hunting is banned, they will be forced to put down their hounds.
The same people who claim to love these animals are now using them as pawns in a desperate attempt to protect their pastime.
This is why Protect the Wild has launched the Rehome the Hounds campaign to dismantle the myth that foxhounds cannot thrive in domestic environments.
By sharing the stories of Maggie and Negan, two rescued foxhounds, we aim to show the public, politicians, and the media that these animals are fully capable of living happily in homes.
In doing so, we can shed light on the grim reality: foxhounds are often treated as tools by hunts, kept in poor conditions, and then euthanized when no longer deemed useful.
Rehome the Hounds seeks to educate the public about the plight of hounds used in hunting and debunk the idea that their lives hang in the balance. We look forward to highlighting more stories of foxhounds successfully rehomed across the UK.
